The system
Japanese technology, a proven process.
ThermBlock doesn't stop heat through thickness, but through reflection. Here's how it works, and how it's applied on every type of surface.
The system, in cross-section
Three coats, one protection.
On your roof or façade, ThermBlock builds up in three complementary coats, each with a precise role, from the adhesion primer to the top coat.
ThermBase
Adhesion primerThe base coat that ensures perfect adhesion.
Coverage, ~100 m² / bidon 15 L
ThermBlock
Thermal insulation & waterproofingInsulation, waterproofing and solar reflection in a single product.
Coverage, ~30 à 45 m² / bidon 15 L
ThermTop
Top coatThe colorless top coat that enhances and protects the color.
Coverage, ~100 m² / bidon 15 L

The principle
Four effects, one product
Reflect the sun
The micro-spheres bounce back up to 86.2% of infrared radiation, the band that carries heat, and 84.9% of the full solar spectrum, before the building heats up.
Stop heat at the surface
A micro-porous, air-layered structure stops heat right at the surface: thickness is no longer the deciding factor.
Flex without cracking
Over 200% elasticity follows the materials' expansion under temperature swings.
Stay 100% waterproof
The acrylic film provides lasting protection against water, humidity and mold.
Hybrid technology
Two liquids, two protections
When you open a pail, ThermBlock comes as two layers: a white liquid that protects against infrared, and a clear liquid that protects against ultraviolet. Mixed together, they form an emulsion packed with millions of hollow acrylic micro-spheres.

Under the microscope
The difference shows at ×200.
Scanning electron microscope images. These are not diagrams: this is the material itself, photographed in cross-section.
×20The film in cross-section
The dry coating forms a continuous, even layer on the substrate. This thickness (DFT > 0.3 mm) carries the insulation and waterproofing.
×200The hollow micro-spheres
Close-up: the material is almost entirely made of air-filled hollow spheres, about 50% by volume. That is what reflects radiation and makes the product lighter than water.
The same ×200 view, across five coatings
At identical magnification, most reflective coatings show no hollow spheres at all.

Application
A process for each surface
Brush, roller or airless spray. 2 coats minimum, dry thickness > 0.3 mm. Apply between 5 and 35 °C, humidity < 85%.
Slab / concrete
- 1Thorough cleaning (detergent, brush, water)
- 2Apply one primer coat, let it dry
- 32 to 3 coats of ThermBlock
Sheet metal
- 1Cleaning / stripping of the old system
- 2Treat sensitive points (bolts, parapets) with bands
- 3Anti-rust where needed, then ThermBlock
Waterproof tarpaulin
- 1Apply ThermBase for adhesion
- 2Let it dry completely
- 3Apply ThermBlock
